![]() | I got my first Treo 750 yesterday (At & T). Love what I think it can do, but I cannot seem to get it to work. I run Microsoft XP on my PC. We have Outllook 2007 as our Exchange Server. I want to sync, wirelessly, my email and my calendar from Outlook to my Treo. My personal calendar is currently a subfolder of the main Outlook calendar. Palm support had me copy the entire calendar manually. It seems that this may be a problem requiring a third party application such as Chipura. I don't really have a problem using the application so long as everything syncs up wirelessly. So far I have been using the Xpress feature to have my emails sent to the Treo but I would really like it all to run from Outlook. Everytime I go to configure the server, it doesn't work. My IT guy says our server address is "mail.acmecorp.com" I put in my user name and pasword and then enter our domain name, "acmecorp.com." Everytime I do it it comes up as an error. Any thoughts? I'm ready to scrap this thing and bring it back to the store. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The domain isn't acmecorp.com, it might be acmecorp. But it may also be, if I can explain it with my example. My domain at work is gbs.mycompany.com, the domain my Treo requires is the "gbs" portion. Right click My Computer and choose properties, and select the Computer Name tab, the domain should be listed for you there. Try it and post back, I'm sure we can get it working for you

![]() | Thanks. I did what you suggested. It said that my "full computer name" is HP_DePalma.ACME.local and the domain is ACME.local. Would that be what I shoudl be inputing to configure the server? |

![]() | CAUSE These errors indicate that the Windows Update client did not receive a response from the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web site. This may be caused by programs that are running on the client computer or by general network-related failures. I'm actually installing a windows update now off of palm.com. i hope that helps. i have been getting a flurry og microsoft errors on the treo today regarding a problem with tmail.exe |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You may have gotten a 750 with Windows Mobile 5, so that upgrade to WM6 will be a big help. The domain info that the Treo wants is probably just "ACME". Also the server that it would be looking for is the one for outlook web access (may or may not be the same). In my situation: internal mail server mailsrv.mycompany.com (can't connect to this via the Treo) outlook web access mail.mycompany.com You may also need to check or uncheck the "This Server requires SSL..." box

![]() | Thanks. You are right, it is only WM 5 I think I saw a download on Palm for WM 6, so I will do that. I have been spending alot of time on the phone with Palm and AT&T support. They think my Outlook web access and domain are correct (i.e. mail.acmecorp.com and acmecorp). It appears, based on the error messages that we are getting, (#85010004), after checking the SSL box that we do not have a valid server certificate. Our IT guy is coming in tomorrow. Is that something he can fix quickly? I have been doing a bit or reserach on my own and it doesn't appear to be the biggest deal. Asuming that he can fix it, and I am able to wirelessly sync, I still have the problem that my personal calendar in Outlook is in a subfolder. It appears that there are third party applications that can fix that problem. I was leaning towards one by Chapura. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks again for all your time. ![]() | Slowly getting to the bottom of my problem. I still cannot wirelessly sync my 750 with our Outlook exchange server. But my IT guy just told me that we run a Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 (not 2003) with a service pak 2. Does anyone know a fix to this problem (besides buying Server 2003)? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Looks like the cheapest route is upgrading to Exchange 2003.
