Synching my 680 - Treo Forum

Good morning,
I have a new unlocked Cingular 680 and use T-Mobile and want to sync my 680 with the desktop application. Can I use the Palm 6.2 Beta download instead of the supplied disc to get this done properly? I had some problems with my 650 unlocked and want to do it right the first time, if possible. Are there any known problems I should be aware of that will frustrate me? I am using Vista Home OS and don't at this time use Outlook but may, if it's easier to sync. I only want to sync contacts because that's the most important feature for me at this time.
I've had a 270, 600 and Visor and had no problems with these at all.

You can use the newest version of the desktop to sync, but they recommend you use the one that comes on the disc. I have a 680 (which I unlocked) and use Vista. I use the Palm Desktop that came on the 680 install disc, and I haven't had any problems at all.
