Wireless ActiveSync Randomly NOT sending emails - Treo Forum

Hi All,

Can you help me on this one?

I have a Treo 700wx (Verizon) using Wireless ActiveSync to Exchange 2003. It always syncs fine, and never gives any error codes. But every now and then, a sent email will end up in limbo.

The device shows the item as sent. They sync takes place w/ no errors. But the email never reaches its recipient and Outlook on the user's desktop never shows the email in Sent Items.

It doesn't happen every time, or even most of the time. But it doesn't give any error, so you never know if your recipient got his/her email.

I used a Treo 700w (Verizon) before this w/ the same effect, so I think the problem lies w/ ActiveSync or Exchange.

Any thoughts?

Do these emails have anything in common? i.e. Sent from specific periods of the day, or to common email addresses?

I'm not sure. The two that I've seen w/ my own eyes were both to internal email addresses (i.e. on the same domain as the Treo)

They showed up in Sent Items on both the device and Outlook, but never made it to the recipient's Inbox.

If you send from Outlook on a PC do they always get sent Ok?

Always.

I have 3 other devices using ActiveSync (one Treo and two Q's) but they're not high volume users, so I cannot confirm/deny that they're suffering the same fate.

What service pack level is the Exchange server on?

Exchange 2003 SP2, running on Windows 2000 Server SP4, soon to be upgraded to Windows 2003 Server.
