![]() | What have you DONE? I'm interested in hearing what you all have done as far as customizing your Treo with apps, shells, plugins, os changes..... I'll set the bar low by giving mine. I have a 700wx which of course came with wm5. I have upgraded it to wm6, added G-Alarm, a stopwatch ( I run ), Windows live for mobile, windows live messenger E- Sword, E reader, and Inesoft Cash Organizer. I LOVE integration like I have with the windows live products, but I wonder if there isn't something better out there. Do other shells integrate the same way? What have YOU done to your Treo? Lets hear it......

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The only Today screen add-on I've got on my 750 is SBSH Pocket Weather, I like to keep things streamlined. I've tried other shells but they tend to slow the device down without adding to many improvements. Of the software I've added the most useful have been Kinoma Play, TomTom Navigator 6, Resco Explorer 2007, Live Search and NewsBreak ![]()

![]() | Interesting. I was under the impression that the shells make it run more smoothly..... So you are like me and prefer the windows mobile setup?

![]() | First, I started off with a TREO 700wx I bought on eBay for $31 (including shipping!). I have since upgraded the OS to WM6.0 and now I have recently created my own updater and ugraded to WM6.1 Professional. (Works with TREO 700w and 700wx phones) I also installed a really cool program called Navizon, which uses data in your particular area and your phones GPS locater to determine your location. The program also acts as a "Software GPS" which I use with Google Maps and I can locate my current location on the Google Map! You can also send data to them to help them map out Cell Towers and WiFi Hotspots and they pay you for your data! I have also installed SkyFire, probably THE BEST web browser available for Windows Mobile and Symbian phones!! SkyFire supports full Flash as well as web page plugins for audio and video, etc. The web pages look and operate the same as they do on your desktop computer! I have installed IM+ Messenger which is pretty cool for taking care of your IM needs as it supports AOL, Yahoo, ICQ, Gtalk, MySpace IM, etc. I have also installed PIM Backup (freeware!) which I use to backup all my contacts and information. It came in real useful before I upgrade my OS! |

Recently ran across something else I'm liking quite a bit. May be old new to you all but WkTASK is awesome. Found here : WkTASK - Task Manager and Program Launcher for Windows Mobile It actually closes programs when you exit out instead of minimizing and leaving them hogging up memory running in background. Also provides a decent user interface for launching programs. Also, Weather Watcher Mobile has been awesome for those who want a weather program. Find it here: Singer's Creations » Weather Watcher Mobile Lastly, the problems have been worked out of the Palm threaded sms program. It is listed on one of NightRavens posts over at xda so I assume we can thank him for that. It has also been great. Find it here: WM6.1 Rom for Treo 700wx - Finally! - xda-developers I did need the phone service 2.0 patch listed with it fyi. Boy that 6.1 rom looks interesting (another NightRaven creation), just haven't worked up the gumption to load it. Can't afford to brick my device....
