| I made my first post! ![]() | Where to find codecs for Windows Mobile Media Player Is there a place to get codecs to play different type of media files i really like windows mobile media player. I did have TCPMP but the screen gets all fuzzy whenever i open a video. the screen gets better when i play it but when i pause it or stop it the screen is all fuzzy. that is why i want to use Windows Media and i don't want to get another player. any help would be good. Thanks |

![]() | So after some searching I have found an answer to this question. Basically there are not any codecs that you can install into WMMP10. The are specific file types that it supports. My suggestion would be to convert the media to a type that plays well with WMMP. Follow this link... Windows Media Player Mobile FAQ Read sections 5.1 - 5.3. Hope this helps.

![]() | The thing with that website is those are not Codecs specifically designed to work with WM5. You might be able to use it to convert media from one type to another, but you cannot load those onto the Treo.

![]() | TCPMP is by far the best media player available for Windows Mobile. If you want to actually purchase one however, you can look for The Core Player which is a commercial version of TCPMP which has been further developed. |
