![]() ![]() | i'm sure if you did a google search you'd find some type of downloading service. *cough*limewire*cough* or did you mean something that works on the treo itself? |

Now if you're looking for something to use on the Treo, that's a little more complicated.

![]() ![]() | my personal experience with limewire has never produced a virus or any type of malware. of course, i have a firewall, 3 virus scanners and a host of adware killers installed. but i agree, LL, you gotta be careful. |

Wow, that's like a belt, suspenders, a bullet proof vest, and a chastity belt of protection. I worry about the multiple anti viruses, because they can system problems if more than one decides to scan at the same time, but if you're not having any trouble...

![]() ![]() | yep. none are scheduled at the same time and something wonky might get past one, but not the other two. multiple layers of redundancy is the key. |

![]() | I have been using RealPlayer on my Palm's since the Tungsten days. Went crazy one day at their 50 cent sale. . . . . . . now have about 1GB of music on my SD card. Their web site says the downloadable RealPlayer for Palm is compatible with the Treo 600 -- but I have used it on my 650 and now my 700P. Cheers, Perry.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The fact of the matter is that if you download or rip your own music in .mp3, .aac, .wma, .ogg or .wav, ptunes will play it on your Treo in Pocket Tunes no matter where it's from, unless it's protected aac or wma. While Real Player is available and compatible with the Treo, I've never been a fan. On the PC it's all advertising and a proprietary media format this is poor quality. As far as I know though any other music service like Napster would work if you want to pay.According to the features page for pTunes, Napster, Real Rhapsody, Yahoo! Music Engine are supported. I know that music downloaded through iTunes would not work. |
