WAV, mp3, & MIDI sounds

I use a bunch of .WAV sounds for ringers and tones on my Treo (there exported files from Blizzard's World of Warcraft sound effects). I was wondering what the best method for using the files as for the system.

It appears that using them as WAV takes up a bit of space, rather than normal MIDI files, and having them exported or saved as a MIDI file usually results in a headache of setting the actual sound for a Kidney Shot effect to a specific instrument. Anyways, is there a good program I should be using, what the hell do people use when converting a song from MP3 to MIDI?

^_^

You don't need to convert them,Minitones will allow you to use any mp3 as a midi, just select a track you want and minitones will make it available to use in your tones library, for use as a ringtone, sms tone, email or just a general alarm.

That's freakin' awesome! Thanks a bunch. Can these tracks be on an SD card or do they have to be on the Treo memory? Also will it work with WMA's since they are actaully smaller files it would save a bit of room. Know what I mean?

Question

Will the Treo 700wx recognize mp3 ringtones on the SD card without this MiniTones program?

Does anyone know the answer to my above 3 questions?

Wil the Treo 700wx recognize mp3's on the SD card without the MiniTones program?

Will the MiniTones program work with wma files also, or just mp3's?

For the MiniTones program, to the mp3's have to be on the phone memory or can they be stored on the SD card?

Anyone, please answer these if you can. Thanks for your help.

You can use MP3s and WMA files on a WM based Treo without any added software.

Take a look here, I've explained how to do it.

A general forum search should bring up TazUK and I explaining how to do it several times for Windows Mobile Users.
