| Administrator ![]() | Just a week ago the image below was still purported to be that of a next-generation Treo 800p but we now discover via an official and welcome Palmpre-annoucement that this device is actually the Palm Centro from Sprint The what!?... More... |

![]() | All I'll say is THANK GOD IT'S NOT THE NEW TREO! There still is hope for the next treo. Although if this was in black, it may be a sexy regular sized phone.

![]() | This looks to be geared to a market segment different from the traditional Treo user hence the lack of "Treo" in the name. I for one do not want to see a smaller screen and keyboard. I take lots of notes and watch lots video on my Treo - a smaller keyboard & screen would be a very bad thing for me. Hopefully, they will redesign the current device but keep the screen & keyboard sizes as they are. But if it came to it, I would gladly keep the current format if it meant not having to go to a smaller screen & keyboard...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | While I'm also glad its not the new Treo, I'm personally glad they are following through with opening up the design of their smartphones. As old as it is, its still a great OS and would work well on many phones, expanding their functionality. My wife won't carry a Treo, too many buttons and things, but uses my old Tungsten E. A smaller, "dumbed down" phone without all the things our Treo has, but still with great core PIM applications and the option to add additional software, would be great for her.
