Notifiction alert for missed texts or missed calls?

Hi all,

Ok here is my dellema....I own a Treo 700wx from verizon...I'm loving it so far ..only had it for 3 days....but there is one thing that bugs the hell out of me....when I receive texts (or any messages) and i miss it, i dont get a reminder notification that tells me i missed my text or even missed call...all my past cell phone have always reminded me with a beep or a little vibrate every 2 mins telling me that i have an unread text or missed call...

if i don't keep checking my Treo i will never know if i missed a call or text...i went under Sounds-->Notifications under Play Sound and saw an option to Repeat the sound but that box grayed out....how can i get something to tell me i have a missed call or a missed text on this thing without the need for a 3rd party software.

Hey Tazuk,
Thanks for the link...ill check it out but I was looking for an alert like a vibrate or a sound...the LED light wont really help much since I need an alert for when im not near the phone to tell me i missed a text

This was my biggest peave when I first bought my 700wx too. Microsoft has purposely greyed out this area so that we need to get a third party app to fix it. What you are looking for is Phone Alarm:
pocketMax Software - phoneAlarm

You can download a 30 day trial to check it out first but if you are an evil reprobate, you can delete it before the 30 days are up and reinstall it indefinitely (leave it past the 30 days and you'll have to either need to do a hard reset or fork over the bucks and buy it). But it is a pretty nifty program as you can customize all of your ringers/vibrators and even set when you want them to be active or unactive.

My rage towards the powers that be are still intact, but Phonealarm is a pretty decent solution.

There are lots of little anoyances like that in Windows Mobile 5, maybe they'll be fixed in version 6, but then judging by their desktop OSes this probably won't be the case
