| Junior Member ![]() | song files to ringtones I dragged and dropped some songs from Rhapsody acct I have with my SanDisk mp3 player. The songs are on my SD card but I am unable to determine what type of file they are. Actually, not sure if I am even trying correctly to find out what type of file they are. Can you enlighten me on how to determine file type? Thanks again. dugd |

| Member ![]() | I don't know if this will work on the 700w, but it works for my Palm 680... theo's weblog - How do I convert Ringtone to my Treo650 with FFMPEG The details of how to take the AMR file and make it available as a ringtone on your phone may be a bit different. For example, on the 680, I was able to copy the file onto my Palm, but the way to make it go in as a ringtone was different. For mine, in the voice recorder app, I would see the file, then hit the menu key(on the palm keyboard), and it had an option for "copy to ringtones". This is clearly a change from the 650, but aside from that, it worked exactly like what was listed. Palm quick install might also work to get the file over to the palm without needing the SD card, but that is a project for another day. |

| Junior Member ![]() | mp3 files The files can be played on my WMplayer on the treo and found out they are mp3 files. I also have tried the "right click", so to speak, and have not found anyway to make it a ringtone. Whereas a friend beamed me a wav. file which I was able to "right click" on the file and "set as ringtone". |
