A Few Questions....

700p get MR installed on it, now incapable of phone calls

I just knew something like this would happen.

I installed the Maintenance Release for my 700p on Verizon. It took about 35 minutes and everything seem to go smoothly. Except now it can't log onto the network. It just permanently shows "Network Search..." in the top-left corner of the screen.



Unless of course the entire network is out in Western Philadelphia, I think I have a BIG problem...

Have you tried doing a soft reset?

Done resets, both soft and hard. Nothing

Did you have any problems during the MR installation?

Have you tried re-applying the MR?

No trouble on the initial installation. Suppose I might as well try and re-apply the update.

Ha! It won't let me re-install the update because it says I already have it!

There's 40 minutes I'll never get back.

Went through the motions of soft and hard resets galore, manual activation, then finally - at my polite urging - the Treo 'specialist' at Verizon suggested they send out a replacement (1-3 days! Incommunicado!)

The CS people really weren't that bad, and at least they didn't threaten to cancel my account because I called them too much (Sprint! )

I've been looking forward to a resolution to my SMS issue, which locks my phone up for up to 3 minutes every time that I text a fellow Verizon customer. I plan on trying this update the very minute that I get home from work. If anyone else has issues with the new update I would love to hear about them.
