![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Looking at the demo! Ok, I held one! It was only a demo unit, not even powered, but just to see it in person and get a "feel" for it was really cool. I will definitely be buying one of these, hopefully on Sunday (or is it Monday?). It fits in my hand a little easier than my 650, I'm guessing because of the thinner form, but felt very sturdy. The side mounted card slot is really cool too, and it sure beats trying to catch my cards in mid-air when they suddenly decide to flee my phone as I remove it from it's case. I'm a little depressed that I couldn't actually play with the programs, but I'll get over it. Treo 680 + 4 Gig Card + Me = bliss ![]() The pics are now up later in this thread....like here.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's strange, on paper the 680/750v isn't much smaller than the 650 but when you actually hold one it feels a lot smaller It's lighter too which helps ![]() It also amazes me that none of the competitors have really matched the Treo's form factor, they've had long enough ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah. The funny thing is I asked the rep what it was (I played stupid) and she told me it was a 750. I said "750 what?", and she said....suprise...."I don't know, they're different?". Between the leaks from Cingular not having any sort of release date, and the fact that the display showed a pic of the Palm OS, I feel sure that this is the 680....which I will own. Soon. *greedily rubs hands together in anticipation*

![]() | I am soooooo jealous! The Cingular rep at the store I visited was a complete idiot and utterly NOT helpful. I'm going to try another store where I know one of the salespeople is a Treonaut (in fact, he was the one who told me about this website). Ugh... is it out yet? |

![]() ![]() | Dude, you're in a teasing mode huh? Why can't you activate it? All you need is a sim card... Feel like taking some pics? We'd be one of the first boards to carry live pics of a real retail 680? Nearly everyone else has the standard publicity shots or a few furtive blurry round-the-back-of-the-factory shots... lucky you though for having one. me? envious? not at all Have to admit I'd like one. Just dont know which colour... @TazUK: on the form factor thing I know what you mean. It really is a nice form factor esp compared to the BB or other keyboard toting 'smartphones'. I wonder why someone like HTC hasn't just copied it. @ forgot: me jealous. might drive over to fry's and do the same just for the hell of it. ~ Steph

![]() | I am terribly sorry I can't take pictures or activate it. Can't take pictures because there is a black ID Label on the front. If they find the 'leaked' image I can get fined. The radio is deavtivated so it can't be put on a network.

![]() | Yes I know, :/ I have next to me now, it has a GPS location aware chip built in. So if it gets stolen or lost they can find it. I also found out that you can upgrade the camera to 2 MP from the company that makes the camera chip. I had to sign my life away that if it gets damaged or 'lost', they can take legal action. Details but no Pics...
