![]() | I just bought (and am excitedly awaiting delivery of) an unlocked Treo 750 and an accompanying wi-fi SD card. In preparation, I've begun trying to figure out how the SD card will work with my mobile carrier, T-Mobile. I've been getting the run-around from different T-Mobile representatives on what will happen when I use my wi-fi with the phone. 1) One representative informed me that I will not be charged by T-mobile, if I'm using "a phone which has built-in wi-fi capability" (he didn't seem to understand what a wi-fi SD card is). He said I would only get charged if I use the data (internet usage) over their network, which is $24.99 per month. He didn't know what to say when I asked how T-Mobile knows whether I'm using their network. 2) The next representative said that, if I accessed the internet on my phone AT ALL without a data plan, T-Mobile would know, and I'd be charged for each minute of use, regardless of whether I'm using wi-fi -- even the wi-fi at my house or at work. Now, that's just not fair. Still, I want to know before I start surfing. So which is it? I'm so confused! I could always take out the SIM card to use the internet, but that's an annoying idea. Has anyone had any good luck with ferreting out the truth when it comes to stuff like this? I'm perplexed as I can get-- Thank you in advance! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's number one, if you use Wi-Fi then it doesn't go across the celular network so therefore no charge ![]()
