![]() | Automotive Treo holder I'm not running GPS on my Treo 700p yet, but would like a better place to position my Treo so I can see the screen while driving. I've been thinking about porting the MP3 to my car radio using the plug while using the Bluetooth for phone. (ie. bottom open for plug) I'm not sure if I'll charge while 'hanging' there but it might be a nice setup especially if I can keep wires to a minimum. I've got too different vehicles and very few ideas as to how to hold it at the moment. Currently just using cup holder in one car and doorhandle in the other. What's the advice from users or Treo gurus .... perhaps I should call them 'Treonauts?' ![]() |

![]() ![]() | Well I got a car mount with my Palm Navigation 2 package - wiht TOMTOM Navigator 6 and the cute little silver Palm PGS unit. It's a fairly generic mount that has adjustable side bars and movable 'feet' which at first I thought weren't movable - initially they blocked the power port and headphone socket. You should be fine almost any one as they're designed to be generic and adjustable. Arkon seem to do a lot and I have and Arkon Universal via an ebay package deal that I used for a while. All the contact points are padded and adjustable. The sidebars click in and it has a button for releasing. It's a windshield mount which may not suit you - handy tip though, for sedans try turning the mount the other way up I find it doesn't get in the way so much so instead of coming down from the windshield it comes up from the bottom. There's a clever cigarrette lighter version by iGrip that I haven't used but I think may be a nice way to keep the Treo out of the windshield. Shame it doesn't include a charger as well. That would be sweet. They all seem about $20 and frankly I don't think I'd pay more than that anyway. ~ Steph |

![]() ![]() | i have an Arkon holder, but it's mounted to one of the bolts on the floor of my car. it works great, bought it for around $20 and i've no complaints. like steph said, ebay has great deals on these, just take some time to find what you'd like best. |

![]() ![]() | Agreed, with these things you can also get a used one because it really doesn't matter if it has some wear and tear as long as it holds the phone. ~ Steph |

| Administrator ![]() | I currently have the Arkon model that Steph mentions but I am seriously considering getting the new iGrip Sturdy Swivel Mount because it will correct my Treo from 'bouncing' with the Arkon's flexible arm. I hope this helps. Cheers, A. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use a Brodit holder for my T650, it's supplied in two parts, one for what ever device your using and the other designed specifically for each car. They seem to cover pretty much ever make/model out there http://www.brodit.com/ |

![]() ![]() | schaefs63, that one kinda looks like a robot arm holding the treo. if i didn't already have a holder i'd get that one on sheer looks alone. |

![]() ![]() | Wow yeah I don't thnk there's any danger of the arm breaking there I'd be more worried upsetting it and then having to watch it slowly crush my Treo. ~ Steph |
