Treo Pro Cases

I haven't seen much here on this subject. Maybe I missed it. Anyway, I wanted to share a few thoughts.

I came to the Treo Pro from the Cingular 8525 (HTC Tytn). I bought this Fortte case Leather case for Cingular 8525, HTC Hermes TyTN, JasJam for the 8525. Nice textured gloss finish like good leather. Very professional looking. And I liked it so well that I wanted to keep using it. The Treo Pro is a little wider & a lot thinner than the 8525. So, it fits, but very loosely. If you use the Seidio Innocase hardcover or Seidio's 3500 mah extended battery & replacement back, both add just enough bulk to the phone to improve the fit in this case.

If you're an Innocase fan, hopefully everyone knows by now that Sprint carries the combo pack of case & holster for $29.95, instead of your having to pay Seidio that price each (or $49.95 for both).

I really like Seidio's holsters, but found one thing about them I really dislike. The Innocase holster is too tall to properly hold a bare Treo Pro or one with the 3500 mah battery & back. On the other hand, if you switch to an Innocase cover, the Spring Clip holster is too short & the bottom corners aren't deep enough -- the Spring clip holster will hold a bare Treo Pro or one with the extended battery. Since both look almost alike, it's a good thing the Spring Clip holster has a more rubberized texture to differentiate it. But it's too bad they didn't design things so that buying only one holster would do the trick.

I am using primarily the seidio silicone case from the store here but I also bought a SPE flip lid case at the saem time because I really like the flip lid cases over the years I have had one since the treo 600 days. I dont like holsters because they seem to break the clip easily and also jostling the device seems to knock it out too easily. Problematica in the extreme with the external antennas on the earlier treos. I mostly use the silcon and have the device in my shirt pocket or in deep baggy pocketed pants and shorts otherwise its the flip lid case.

I have a Luxmo silicone case that I like, but I think I like the Innocase better.

I've seen the flip lid cases in use & people seem to like them. But the flip & I just don't seem to coordinate well together.

I think like your os decision its a matter of personal preference I had several bad experiences with hoslters leading to antena replacements pretty much gave up on them Liked the flip lid case and stuck with it now with the thinner pro with a silicon case it stays in the shirt pocket when I bend over so I am liking that and its nice not having anything hanging on the belt.

Experience certainly will make a difference. And it'd be a pretty dull world if we all agreed on everything.

This is the first phone I've ever thought of pocketing, so that one's taking a little getting used to. I'm still more into using a jacket pocket or a belt case.
