Treo 700p and Motorola H700 connection problem

I am having a problem using the Motorola H700 headset with my 700p. I can successfully configure the H700, it is registered as a Trusted Device and the Bluetooth connection is working. However, although I can initiate a call from the headset, the phone does not put the sound through the headset. Rather, the sound remains in the phone and the headset icon does not show up on the screen. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

Does the headset have a cycle button, i.e. reset button. Or, plug it into its power source for about 5 seconds then unplug it. Then turn it back on. Don't turn off the bluetooth on your 700P.

I use another type of headset, but this works for me.

Unfortunately, no. There is no reset or cycle button. I pored through the brief instructions just to check. I did also try to recharge, but that has not made a difference. Maybe I should try a soft reset of the Treo.

Delete the trusted device from Bluetooth. Reboot phone and then repair. See if that works.

Couple of other things to try (since I have the same combination here).

- Update your Treo 700p
- When pairing your h700 wait a few seconds longer until it says H700 (not just headset) before moving on to the password screen
- This sounds stupidly obvious but the phone will not see it at all until you flip out the boom - it's a brilliant battery saver
