700wx GPS for lakes/rivers and tomtom6

Hello everyone,
I have just setup my treo 700 with tomtom and love it. I have a borrowed gps receiver. I am looking at a GP car mount kit that has a built in Sirf star III receiver and charger for the treo.. I see no specs for the receier for accuracy and so forth....I cant find a review to see what people think of the car kit... If it sounds like a no good item I would love some recomendations... I need a gps receiver and car mount (preferably one with a speaker or some way to hear better than my pone speaker as I get a lot of road noise)....

I was also wondering if anyone knows of any gps software that I could get that would have lakes and rivers? I have a run-a-bout boat and love going boating. I have seen some gos systems that have lake maps and the gps will give you accurate reports of water depth and so on.. This would be really usefull for going places I have never been on the water as I do not have a depth finder...

Any help is greatly appreciated..

The only GPS systems I've seen for use on water are the stand alone devices by Garmin
