| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Palm Ultralight Wireless doesn't stay put! I bought my 700w the week it came out. I used to spend two hours each way in the car to and from work, so I really needed a headset, and since I had Bluetooth capability, it seemed like the smart plan. I started with the Motorola starter-set that "everyone" has. Terrible sound quality. The dudes at Verizon told me that a lot of headsets weren't fully compatible with the Treo (which I have discovered is total bull) and that I should go for one that was specifically designed by Palm. To their credit, they didn't even sell this headset, so I suppose they were trying to be helpful. This thing has been an abomination! It has some cool features and the sound quality is much better than the H500, BUT... the earpiece falls apart at least three times a day! Palm provides three different earpieces for comfort--which is great--but they are on this plastic post that you're supposed to insert into the receiver and turn to "lock" it into place. The only problem is that when you're done, the "pointy thing" that goes in your ear (I'm very technical) points at the sky! I've tried every angle, I've tried every earpiece. I've used the earloop and not used it. (Much worse without it.) I've pointed the receiver at the sky to put the earbud in the right position--but then my callers can't hear me speaking. I've had the receiver and earbud fall out of my ear while walking in a parking lot on a call. I've had the receiver fall down my blouse while driving. I just can't seem to get it to stay put--and it's not like I'm filming an action movie here... I have been battling this thing for months and am about at the end of my rope. Does anyone have any suggestions? (I'd even settle for a recommendation on replacement that stays put!) Also... Most of the reviews on these threads tend to be about sound quality--and rightfully so--but it would be great if you could include something in there about comfort and practicality as well. I never would've bought this product (and spent nearly $100 on it) if I'd known about this issue. Thanks! Last edited by lisaskil; 06-05-2007 at 09:08 AM. |
