Treo 650 quits bluetooth connection after 20 seconds - Treo Forum

I have had a GSM unlocked 650 for 2 or 3 years.

I have just aquired a Garmin Nuvi sat nav with a handsfree facility.

The pairing works but the connection quits after about 20 seconds; so making a call is next to impossible.

Funnily enough though, incoming calls are OK. the incoming call seems to cause the pair to re aquire. I suspect when making a call that if the callee answered within 20 seconds it would work OK, but I havn't been able to test this.

My 650 is well used but I have never bothered to update the firmwear.

Any suggestions anybody???

Have you spoken to Garmin about it?

No I havn't and it's obviously worth a try.

I had another handsfree (not Garmin) device that seemed to something similar.

I also noticed when undertaking a Google search on the issue (this is how I came across treonauts) that others had had a similar problem, so I hoped thre might be a well known solution.

pbford...... you can update your firmware to 1.20 ENA here
The update takes care of multiple bluetooth fixes.
