Verizon Treo 700P and TOMTOM 910

I just got a tomtom 910 GPS unit and have tried to use the bluetooth cpability. My gps finds the treo 700p, I even get to enter the passcode for the device, but after 40%, the process dies and tells me that the phone has timed out.

I spoke with tomtom and verizon and they both recomend playing with the prot settings on the phone. How do I do this?

Has anyone gotten their treo to work with a tomtom gps?
