Purchased a Plantronics 640 for my Treo 650...sounded like I was crushing cellophane everytime I talked...spoke with Plantronics...they suggested a "soft" reset..then pair again...tried that several times but no luck...the he said do a back up and then a "hard" reset..then pair again...hell no better...640 worked with my Slvr...so gave that to my dad and bought the Plantronics 645....same problem...if the phone is in my hand next to my ear perfect...on the desk on the same side as the earpiece..very very little problems...but put the Treo on my belt and it is back to the cellophane crackiling...and hey I am not that big so the "line of sight" is a pretty straight shot....so does anyone have any idea about this? Plantronics sells the 645 with their logo and rates it highest...is there some magical power in just putting on the palm logo and taking off the plantronics....thought that maybe since the Treo was 1.1 and the 645 is 2.0 that that might be the issue...has anyone had to deal with this...
Thanks for your help and if you want something that will look good get alot of questions asked and just be hanging there get the 645....also had this same problem with my soloflex...looked great but DAMN did it hurt then it becam a very very expensive but very very goodlooking coatrack...take care
