700p and Bluetooth Plantronics headset - Treo Forum

I have been informed on 08-Feb-2007 by Plantronics tech. support that their headsets will not work with the Treo 700p or other 700 series. They say they are working on it with Plam, but both treonauts.com and Plantronics own site still show the 655 for instance being compatible. Does anyone know the status of this issue? I had to return the 655 to treonauts due to one-way transmission, about a month ago, and they're still vending it as compatible.

I'll look into it for you. It's a little odd since the store usually quotes manufacturer's data...unless they switched comaptibility statements after they launched.

I use the 655 with my 700p and it seems to be fine.

Seems a lot of headsets work fine with the Treo.

As for the store they list what's on the sales sheet and updates received by the manufacturer and apprently have few returns for the device.

What other BT devices have you tried? Andrew does very indepth reviews on this site and I know, from getting many many calls each with a different headset, that he's extremely conscientious with regard to whether they work or now.

I use the explorer 320 and it works well enough.
