![]() | 680 and switching active call to BT I just migrated from a 650 to a 680. Really like it BUT on the 650 I could power up my Plantronics Voyager BT headset during an active call and could switch over with no problem... doesn't seem to work on the 680. Unless I have the Voyager up before the call starts I can't use it.. Am I missing something ? Is there some config value I've got to change ? |

![]() | do you have "always route to hands-free" checked in the handsfree preferences pane? i have this checked, and my calls route to my bt headset (aliph jawbone) as soon as it's ready (whether it's on before i'm on a call, or if i turn it on during a call)... |

![]() | Rats.. thought you might have had it .... when I check I see that "always route to hands-free" is selected. I also have AUTO ANSWER on DIS-ABLE... do you think that is stopping it from picking up when I turn the BT on mid-call ? Thanks for the idea ! |

hmmm, the auto-answer set to be disabled shouldn't affect it (i also have mine disabled and this does not impact my headset's ability to take over during a call). from what i've seen, not all headsets are created equal and not all of them act the same way with the different phones. i'd suggest you borrow a friend's headset - it could be your plantronics headset that isn't playing nicely with the treo. the sony ericsson hbh-662 headset i had before wouldn't consistently connect to my treo for active calls, but my current jawbone does so flawlessly...my only other suggestion is to delete the pairing between the treo and the plantronics, do a soft reset, and then re-pair the two and see if that helps... | |

![]() | BINGO !!! the soft reset did the trick... now it will pick up a call even when I power it up after the call is in progress.... Check one more difference off the list ! |
