I use TomTom's own BT receiver, that's probably the easiest to setup and works well

I have the same problem with TomTom 6 and an Emtac CruxII BTGPS receiver. I'm getting frequent problems with TomTom not finding the receiver, or not getting a signal. We're talking side by side each other, outside, on a beautiful clear day. Is BT performance a problem with Treo 650, I am new to these phones.

The BT range on the 650 is good enough for you to have the receiver several feet away and it still work Have you tried the receiver on another phone/device?

I think I found a solution for my own problem. Lot's of trial and error boils down to: Every single time I turn on my Treo, I turn off then turn on Bluetooth. Then ensure my receiver is on before I start Tomtom. Let the disclaimer load fully. Doing this before using Tomtom6 almost guarantees no drop outs or loss of connection between receiver and Treo.
