![]() | Hi all, In my continued search for the "one" device, I am upgrading my trusty 650 for a new Cingular 680 and looking to integrate with my ride. My goal is streamed audio to my car stereo from my SD card (voice control of play features would be nice) and voice activated, phone integration without a headset. I have been checking out the limited pre-release information on the Parrot MX6000, as I haven't found anything else with its feature set. I haven't had any experiences with Parrot products and would like to get feedback. Also, I would like to understand if there are any other production out there that folks are using or know about that are on the way. Finally, is the Softick software the best A2DP integration solution for the Treo? Thanks. Aaron |

| I made my first post! ![]() | Hi The Parrot support is the worst on the planet. They repeatedly release products with huge bugs and expect their customers to wait months for a fix. I (and 100s others) had to wait for the best part of a year to get a fix to a basic feature (sync of phone numbers between devices) if anyone on the forum complained their post was deleted. I ended up winning my case in the small claims court (not fit for the purpose) Unless you like pain wait for for the firmware to be fixed. Don't belive me or thing I am bitter (I am), make your own mind up! Parrot English Forum / New Software version 4.16 available for CK3100! Take a look here over 10 pages of problems would have been 20 if you include the posts that Parrot deleted Parrot English Forum / Windows Mobile 5 - Parrot, please help |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I too have been looking at the MK6000 for use with my GSM Treo 650 in my '02 Jeep Liberty. My current Seidio Cradle handsfree kit suffers from a lot of echo and people are constantly complaining. So far US Parrot support has been very responsive to all of my emails and have assured me that it works with the Treo 650 running SAG. They tested it out and said that initial setup required a few reboots, but then it worked as expected. I havn't ordered it yet because I fear it'll just end up suffering from the same echo issues as my current Seidio handsfree kit. The two front speakers on the Liberty are right on the dashboard and I suspect this may be what is causing the echoes. I was thinking I could just use a Jawbone bluetooth headset instead for calls and the wired AUX port for mp3/audiobook audio, but there seems to be an issue with the BT headset not overriding the wired connection and all sound is coming out the wired AUX port. ![]() See thread here: http://forum.treonauts.com/accessori...-gsm-only.html

| Regular Contributer ![]() | SAG is supposed to work better with the Treo 680 now. With regards to a wired connection not working with Bluetooth, maybe if you force the audio out it will work. There is an application that allows you to manually switch the audio from the internal speaker to the headset jack. HeadCold

The headset would have to support A2DP in order for SAG to output to it. I tried this with a A2DP headset and the sound still only came out of the wired headphones even if I switched output to the "A2DP Device" from within SAG. ![]() I will try Headcold tonight and see if I switch it to speaker, if the sound goes to the BT headset instead of the wired jack.

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. ![]() There doesn't appear to be a way to get the GSM Treo to switch to the BT headset other than pulling the cable from the wired jack. I don't know if there is a command that could be called to enable/disable the wired jack port. Or if that would solve the issue. -Brett

![]() ![]() | Not sure if it helps this or not but I recall Andrew doing a few more posts recentlyon the lamentable state of Treo A2DP support. Though he got it working perfectly well with several of the BT stereo headsets that have passed through is hands... the most recen tws Sony's Treonauts | Treo A2DP Stereo Bluetooth Headset: SonyEricsson HBH-DS970 Oddly on my CDMA 700p I've been frequently swtiched from the wired jack where I have a nice simple Panasonic Headset to my BT headset by my son who somehow likes opening the boom on the H700 whenever he gets hold of it. Though thats only a mono BT headset. ~ Steph

Hi Steph, thanks for the suggestion. The CDMA Treos don't have the issue that I am having, it appears to only be an issue with the GSM Treos. So unless I switch carriers I'll be sticking with my GSM Treo. I've contemplated those BT headphones before, they look really nice. Unfortunately it is illegal (at least in Massachusetts) to wear 2-bud earphones in a car while driving, so I wouldn't be able to use this in the car. ![]() -Brett
