A few weeks ago, someone has posted about a hidden Verizon Data plan that seems to be too good to be true.

Some are able to get it (though not such an easy task as it may sound) and some are not as successful.
So I would like to try and compile some info to find out what are the cases to be made eligible and not legible for this PDATP Plan.
It will probably help us all if we can compile some info about this to see how we can help each other on this issue.
If you have been APPROVED of the PDATP Plan please post the answers to the following questions below.

- Where are you located as per your Verizon contract?
- Do you have a Regular (Non-Business/Corporate) or Corporate account?

It shows as UNL PDA 800 TXT 100 on your Verizon's MyAccount page.
It also shows as UNL PDA 800 TXT 100 PIX $20 in your Verizon's Paper Bill. How do you get the PDATP Plan?- Call Verizon Customer Service: (800) 922-0204 or *611 on your VZ Mobile Phone.
(Try to do something while you are making this call (ie: read a book, watch TV, Chase your kitten) as it may take a while) - Input your 10 digit VerizonWireless Mobile Number. (ie: XXX-XXX-XXXX)
- Press 4 for "Other Options"
- Press 4 again for "Information on Plans & Promotions"
- Talk to Verizon CSR about the PDATP Plan. 2, 3
(Mention that its the Plan with PDATP code.)
(Mention its the Unlimited PDA Data, 800TXT, 100PIX Plan) - Be put on hold a few times so Verizon CSR can get authorization from their managers.
- Finally be asked if you "REALLY" want the PDATP Plan in your account.
- You may then be told that you will receive credit for switching plans.
- Be asked by Verizon CSR if you need any more help.
- Finally hang up and jump for joy for saving an extra $25.99/mth ($623.76/2yrs) and it only took you 30-60 mins of your precious time!
2 - "Simply giving the CSR the plan code PDATP may not get you the plan. Give the plan code PDATP and then give the description immediately. They should be able to find it"
3 - "Plans with VZW are regional, and the PDATP plan is in the system but not on the current promo list distributed to some CSR's"

Do you need to have been signed to Verizon for a specific amount of time?There does not seem to be a specific "Loyalty"/Sign-up time to Verizon at this time.
Will add more details as we find them. Can you get other discounts while being in this plan?It has been confirmed that you can still get Employee discounts from your job while in this plan. Can you add additional TXT/PIX allowance while in this plan?It has been posted that you will void your PDATP Plan if you want to change the TXT/PIX allowance.
You may want to ask the Verizon CSR more about this as we are not fully confirmed on this either.
Options for Additional TXT/PIX still shows in the Verizon MyAccount page however.
Will add more details as we find them. Does the TXT/PIX include Unlimited IN TXT/PIX-FLIX?The TXT/PIX allowance does not include UNLIMITED In messaging.
It is specificly 800 TXT and 100 PIX/FLIX for ANY wireless carriers, even if it is to another Verizon customer.. |
