| So the AT&T rep suggested that I delete Xpress Mail (she found it to be inconsistent) and use what she called device-based email. I deleted Xpress mail, and she walked me through the following steps.
Pick Email Icon (will launch a page with Versamail on top left corner)
Press Menu button
Pick Accounts
Click New
Enter email address and password
Choose Done
Wait a few minutes, then Choose Get to get your emails
The rep immediately sent me a test email, and I was able to reply. So far, so good. I hope this information helps others out there.
When I pick the Email icon, it now takes me to my email screen with AOL printed on the upper left corner. Seems like I have a direct connection, rather than going through Xpress Mail or Versamail. |
