| You can request a "national data access block" from verizon, which will disable your ablility to connect to their data services. This will ensure that you don't accidentally use any data, nor will any third party apps be allowed to connect.
Their is one issue, however. Any MMS messages are delivered thru data access. You will still be able to send/receive SMS, but NOT MMS.
