| Treo 750 Vs HTC Well, I have owned a Treo 600, and a 650 and loved them both. I upgraded to the 750 recently and had very high hopes for many things. I was looking forward to WM6, loved the faster processor, and loved WM5 currently installed.
BUT-and this is huge
The screen size is horrible at 240x240. I knew this before I bought it and had lived with that screen size for about 5 years (since the 600). I never thought it would be a problem. The problem is that the WM5 standard appears to be the one that the 8525 has (320 x 240 I think), and the faster processor makes a difference to me with Slingbox (which I know does not currently work with WM6). There were about 3-4 programs which I really could not do without which did not work with the 240x240 screen. They installed fine but the buttons you had to press were virtually behind the keyboard with no way to scroll so you couldn't see them. Bummer cuz I like Treos. I couldn't do a RDP connection at all.
I am a geek, so a PDA first, a cellphone second is for me. I took back the 750 and exchanged for the 8525. It rocks! WM5 has some issues like it looks like it seems to hang onto memory sometimes and I have to kill some processes, but I could blame the software (at least I can install it unlike the Treo). RDP to W2K3 works better than the Treo but still really small. Enough to get my job done but I know the limitations.
I guess a wishlist for the Treo would be a bigger screen above anything else. I doubt the WM community will ever downgrade to support 240x240.
I like the Treo keyboard better but I could live with the 8525's
PROS-
