![]() | My rant about t-mobile prepaid I want start by saying i have them for about now 3 yrs for prepaid and im a gold member and i pay 0.10 a minutes and with all that i have so many problem with them that i must inform people or if they know that they share the same horror story from crappy service or shoddy equipment and this go for prepaid or contract 1th phone Samsung T-429 which is a slider and is a good phone but is also have an hidden flaw which samsung and t-mobile should know about because i was outside on my relative porch and i have the phone in my hand and i put on the railing but when i bump into the railing it felled and landed on the which is from the railing to the ground " 5 feet " not much and ground is grassy/dirt and when i got down there because is was night i saw the phone light and when i got it the phone didnt want to slide no more so i have no phone and when i called t-mobile and explain what happen the person thought i have a contract but he have " broken english " and i say 3 times i have a prepaid but he say " yes sir i know " and i ask what about my phone " oh you will get a replacement " but you have to deal with tech support so go transfer and so the lady review it and with in 5 min " were sorry sir we not going to replace it " and i was shock and i point out he said that i will and she told well he must made a mistake " a mistake " so we were going back and for and getting no where and i then i ask for a supervisor "well im a supervisor " ![]() and she add that even you speak to other supervisor they will denied you claim so i file a compliant with the BBB and with in a few day i got this person and he apologies and what " your claim is still denied " and you will have to buy another phone and like the last called and i did most of the talking but he was sticking to " t-mobile policies " and when i got no where i hang up now a few day later BBB e-mail me to see if the outcome was satisfactory and i explain what happen and now this person quote : " they help me to the best of our abilities " ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() now i thought lightning only strike twice well is did but instead of boring you i keep it simple 2nd Razr V3 same thing happen with them but instead is was a hardware issues and they fix it and my phone keep freezing up and they wont replace it "the phone will mysterious disengage itself from my bluetooth unit even thought the feature on the phone is on" "when i make a called i experience what i called dead when i making or receiving a called ether with my bluetooth or using the headset feather and is will last for 15 to 30 second " now this is what there executive case manager told me and add there warranties policies if were not clear plus this Mr.X unfortunately because your handset has physical damage T-Mobile is unable to replace your handset through our handset exchange program. Mr.X you may visit a T-Mobile retail store or T-Mobile.com to purchase a new handset. We regret any inconvenience this issue may have caused you. and this is the physical damage i slip on the some ice and phone slip out of my hand and scrape on the ground that is the only damage and they lied and lied all the time they never return my called or e-mail because " that where they stand " and enforcing the t-mobile rules and just to let you know im no longer using the razr with it problem and i bought a used palum treo 680 which i happy with |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Welcome to Treonauts OG, glad you're with us. So sorry to hear about your misery, but glad you are enjoying your Treo 680! I think you will find everyone here very friendly, and most try to be as helpful as we CAN be. Personally, I am a bit clumsy and tend to throw my Treo around, (accidently, of course) so I bought replacement insurance. I think there are some independant companies who sell insurance for phones. Perhaps someone here can recommend such a company. Good luck with your Treo 680. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't want to sound like a jerk, but you dropped both phones. Did the bluetooth work on the Razr before you dropped it? Did the slider work before you dropped it? Phones are just as suseptable to damage as any other piece of electronic equipment. I suggest a protective case for your 680 so if and when you drop it, you're not out the money. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, as LotusLord and jfa suggested, now that you have a wonderful classy device like the 680, you will certainly want to get an Otterbox!! Pretty much everyone I know here has some kind of protective case. Accidents happen to everyone. Protect your precious new device!!! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | or the moral of the story is a put your phone in a case on your belt (my favorite is flip lid cases) or in some sort of case and be careful in icy conditions. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You can explain all you want, it's not their fault either phone broke. While it's not necessarily yours either, companies are in business to make money not give away free phones |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Duh! Dude dont leave your phone unsecured and certainly dont put it on a railing where you or someone else could knock it off and cause damage and destruction. You paid a bunch of money for it and ifs it important to have a smartphone it is or should be imprtant enough to keep it secured and safe in a case that will make it more likely to survive a self inflicted fall or other aattmpt to defy the law of gravity!!!!!!! Get a case! and save your breath |
