Verizon 700p crashed...replacement on way - Treo Forum

I have a Treo 700p with Verizon - it crashed. Verizon is sending me a new phone tomorrow. I'm wondering since they no longer offer the 700, if they are going to send me the 755 - I should have asked but I didn't. And I will know tomorrow what they send but am curious in the meantime.

I know with insurance issues, if they do not have the same exact phone they will send a comparable one and didn't know if this was the same kind of deal - since they no longer carry the 700p in store or online - will they send me that anyway(do they stock these somewhere for replacement issues like mine?)

Any help is appreciated.

Its hard to say. It would be nice if they gave you the 755, but it seems likely to me that they'll send you a 700. I'm betting they have back stock of them.

Well, they told me they were shipping overnight for Saturday delivery but FedEx is not showing Saturday delivery info - they are showing Monday delivery which ticks me off b/c I will be out of town.

The only reason I brought this question up was because I read somewhere online that Verizon was ready to sell the 755 but wouldn't do so until all of their 700 stock was gone - so it made me wonder if they kept any in inventory for replacement issues.

Guess I will know for sure on Monday (even though I won't get home until really late due to working out of town) - but hubby will be home to sign for it.

Will let you know the verdict then. Thanks for your help.

There have been a lot of 755p supply issues. That may have more to do with why Verizon is not carrying it then any 700p overstock issues.
