Does this clause in that announcement refer to purchasing the device in advance or just that they are technologically advanced devices? In other words is there a way to order the phone ahead of time and save money for doing it?

* Advanced Device Credit
Customers purchasing any of these devices along with a voice and e-mail calling plan of $79.99 or higher or a voice calling plan of $39.99 or higher with an unlimited BlackBerry/PDA/smartphone data plan are eligible for an additional $100 credit toward the purchase of the device. This credit is in addition to the mail-in rebate associated with the purchase of the device. Details available at time of purchase.

welcome blonddave to treonauts. From what your post says it sounds to me like you have to purchase a device with a voice and email calling plan of 79.99 or higher or a voice plan of 39.99 or or higher with an unlimited data plan at the time of the purchase whether or not you are getting the phone at that time or not so if you are purchasing or ordering with a pre pay and commiting to the plan and minutes you should get the rebate form to send in when you get the phone. Who can say whether you would really get the mopney or gift card or not?

Last time I checked they were. I don't know how they can get away with it. Sprint's data rates are MUCH more reasonable. 15-20/month is acceptable, not 60/month just for data

I just ordered my T755P today thru Verizon Wireless for $249.99 after rebate and new every two credit. It will be in my hands tomorrow,..free fed ex!
As Engaget had posted late last week, the 755P was shown on Verizon's website early Monday morning.
Interestingly enough, I called 3 seperate Verizon Wireless stores in my area (Southern New Jersey ) and none of them had ANY clue of this phones release!

I hope I like this phone. I've waited SO darned long with my 650!!!
