![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | LOL Stu. Pete you're right, but I'm speaking from my experience going from the 680 to the 750 brought a huge speed increase for me, both on At&t. |

![]() | Yeah...........who know's? Every provider seems to know why their network is the best, and more than one claims the title for speed, or for reliability. It's entirely possible that Kath and I would have different results next week, or in Pennsylvania. Some providers (and paying customers needing to justify their expenditures to themselves) advertise that the difference between say, Sprint, and say, T-Mobile is the difference between 1990 dial-up and modern Wi-Fi, and that is completely incorrect. Further, I take issue with certain providers selling phones with Wi-Fi and showing in their commercials a phone loading full pages as fast as a notebook. The illusion here is that the Wi-Fi transmission speed is all that counts, when in fact, there isn't a cellphone made yet that comes anywhere near the processor speed of my notebook. Who knows? I might be faster still with an ATT SIM in this thing.

![]() | What is almost humorous to me is how BIG of a deal all the carriers make of their 3G/EvDo speeds and coverage. When I am in a Sprint EvDo area I can see some difference in the speed of Blazer. Not a lot, but I see more speed in the downloading of attachments in emails. IMHO I would not pay extra for the EvDo in my area. I do not think that it is enough of a difference to pay for. Good thing for me I do not have to pay extra for it. I guess if I watched streaming TV/radio a lot I would have more of a desire for it, and it is nice for that, but who has time to watch TV on the phone during the day? My phone rings too much for that. It would knock me off the network everytime the phone rang.![]() |

![]() ![]() | Aubie, I know it's sick, but I actually do watch TV on my phone. I use vTap for Windows Mobile which is a free app (they support others as well) when I am SUPPOSED to be doing something else, or, when my husband is driving and I don't want to watch the cactus fly by at 70 mph. As far as speed on the sprint network goes, I'm pretty happy. I can certainly wait.000025ths of a second or whatever the speed is supposed to be, to get the info I want. |

![]() ![]() I mean no offense to those who do watch TV on their Treos. I wish I had the time to have my 755P "DO" all things it is capable of. I sometimes feel that I "under-use" my 755P. I am grateful for the EvDo, because when I am in a strong area EvDo area, downloading large attachments is noticeably quicker. I just find it funny that the some carriers want to charge extra for a .0000025th of a second. | |

![]() | Okay, but, just remember........... World Domination has been decided on less than .0000025 sec.
