| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Hello again Hey Guys!!... I just wanted to post an update that I found out that SERO has no family plans and any current family plan just does not compare to just setting each person up individually (assuming no more than 3 people).... For me it was just two phones, but I got everything I would have gotten on the family plan (Free mobile to mobile, etc) and plus all the SERO Cool stuff (24/7 web accesss via the phone (nut not notebook), Sprint Basic TV, Sprint Basic Music etc) and it was about 40% cheaper (I figured $60 (with 500/500=1000 mins.) vs. $109 month (with 750 SHARED mins.)). Only if I had like 5 (all really low usage) people in my family would I see a benifit to the low $9.95 per added user that only the family plans offer. Instead the SERO offers a flat $30 per person with all the goodies and also EACH person gets there OWN 500 Minutes. So 1000 minutes for $60 bucks is pretty amazing all by itself. Granted you can't share them as anyway but evenly...however, with all the extras it just makes the deal a no-brainer. By the way, they would said that the Corporate discount (if accepted, but no mention what would be required) would not be compatible with any SERO program...which I would tend to believe as I think that even Sprint is not gonna give you $27 % off a SERO program....if they did they would make , pretty much sero profits. (Groan, bad pun) ![]() But I would still think business discount is worth a try on a non-sero program...assuming no verification is needed....remember...Chase is the top at 27% (unless someone knows anything newer?) Anyway, I hope I can contribute some insights and find some help among all you old timers and experts... ![]() I am already confused about this thing, but hopefully it will get easier...I just wish I knew if the built-in voice commands and the google maps are costing me money when I use them....and if there are any "trials" (like the 1 month of freee messaging that I have to remeber to cancel). I thought the Treo did voice dialing via hardware?...but mine uses some service and tried to transale commands...I just want to dial by voice...that's it...is there anyway to get that without it dialing out? (and I did NOT signup for any voice package, so I am not sure if that is a trial or not). By the way, quick stats....I got the Treo 755p, and it seems to run flawlessly without a lockup or crash in over a week....super-light, bluetooth headset seems to work well..thouhgh I am new to BT overall. Web access is good, but so far slinging my Tivo'd video t my treo is choppy at best...though it seems that that is more likely due to needing to tweak the Slingbox becuase the Web is quite zippy....although not sure what speeds I should expect and where to check them.....??? Oh well, anyway, Glad to be a part of the treonauts...or at least one on training for now.... (Sorry for all the bad grammar, I had to rush typing this). |

1. The phone has to have made or recieved a call on the account to qualify for repair/replacement under ESRP. You can't just go around and activate a broken phone and walk into sprint expecting to get it replaced. 2. More than likely, your phone will not be swapped out that same day. There's a list for every phone ever made, and it's more than likely going to be followed. Exceptions will NOT be made for someone who has a phone they just activated and are trying to get replaced. We aren't retarded. If it's a repairable issue and we have the parts, we can do that same day, but we don't have to. Refer to point 1. This would only make sense for the people who pay for only ESRP, and have a phone that's liquid damaged, or in 3 or more pieces, which even then, refer back to point 1. You might get away with it, but don't be suprised if you are told that the phone isn't covered under ESRP. The part about refusing service is wrong too. Unless you are bringing your phone in on a weekly basis, you won't be refused. You do only have a limited amount of ERP claims, but that's a different story. SERO: Sprint doesn't really care about that, and it's not really a secret. We were told at one point to sign up anyone we want for SERO. The activation stuff is true, but that's anywhere where people work on commission. Hint: Sprint already sells the phones at a loss. They are going to be more liberal to try and get added lines/contract extensions/new lines. Those are what make money, not phones. Quote:

![]() ![]() | Hey clamknuckle, thanks for the updated info. I have always been in good hands at Sprint. I always go back to the same store, and always work with the same person. She has been very good to me and I have sent her a lot of clients because of it. I think nothing helps more in the world than to develop good rapport with employees. They help you more when they know you. |

I laugh and grin and tell them my problem and they either tell me where to go (Retail location to Service Center), or offer to just ship it to the Service Center on behalf of me and they'll ship it back or they just tell me to call Executive Services to get something sorted out, or they share all of the purty numbers in their contact list...... ![]()
