![]() | E-mail accounts I had to get a new Treo Pro, because of the cycling issue I had mentioned before. Sprint was great about it, as usual. I backed up all information and programs on my card, so re-installation was easy. But, the e-mail accounts did not transfer, so I had to once again imput them. On the e-mail tools section it would not let me use the same names as before for describing my accounts. So I entered different names, still no big deal. On the today screen the old names remain and will not show the new names of the e-mail accounts...any ideas how to get the new ones to show and the old to disappear? |

![]() | Restoring EMail Accounts If you use Sprite Backup you may want to try doing this if you haven't already. It sounds like you have a backup on your card, that's good. Do a hard reset (I know it's a new device) then do a restore from a backup two or three days prior to the day you got the new Pro. When you come to the window that shows all the files and folders that will be restored, open up and deselect all email files/folders and settings, then finish restore. This should delete previous settings for email and allow you to setup with old names etc. I know it's a pain in the ass to redo settings but unfortunately it is part of the JOY of owning a Palm device. I hope this solves your problem. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Indeed I really like the sprite backup program. I upgraded to the new versio n when I upgraded the 750 to wm6 and then when I got the pro it was on there already. It has come in handy at times with the 750. It's relly nice to know its available if needed. |
