![]() ![]() | Treo 800w Early Spec and Images It's apparent that these are probably early prototype shots and not representative of the final device (we can hope anyway) This is from the Treo 800w blog post. ![]() Following the appearance of the first real Treo 800w picture last week we now seem to be getting a deluge of additional images and information. ![]() For starters we have the above side shot of the Treo 800w which shows what appears to be a full SD or miniSD door as well as the infrared port unchanged at the upper right side of the smartphone. The body is also rumoured to have the same “rubberized” paint as the previous Treo 750. ![]() Additionally, compared to the Windows Mobile Treo 750 (above) the navigation keys have been flattened and two dedicated Calendar + eMail buttons added. Aside from these minor improvements however the overall body design unfortunately remains pretty much unchanged from previous models and thus delivers a rather outdated (circa 2003) and uninspiring device. ![]() Another blurry image (above) compares the thickness of the Treo 800w (placed in the middle) against the HTC Mogul (at the bottom) and Samsung Upstage (at the top). Treo 800w specifications are rumoured to include:

![]() | Does anyone think that the pictures that are circulating of the 800W for Sprint and/or Verizon are still that of a demo model? I have been with Verizon for years, it works for me and everyone I know (so minutes are kept low) but I HATE the looks of this phone. Yes, the rest of the package sounds great, I am shallow and only talking about the looks. I'm holding out hope that the final run will look like the 850W. Should I hold on to hope or jump ship to AT&T or another type of smartphone? Any thoughts. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Unlikely as we have already seen leaked photos of badged 800w's which must be close to the final design.

![]() | What do you think? I gave up my 700p for the HTC Touch. I love the phone but really miss the qwerty keyboard. The touch screen is nice but I like the combo of touch screen and qwerty. I really like my WiMo 6 on the Touch. I am really considering getting this 800. The one big downfall of my Touch is the battery capacity. My 700 would run for 2 or 3 days on a single charge. My Touch won't make it through the day. I even have the extended battery. I have no way of charging when riding my motorcycle, so it is a big downfall. I have 2 extended batteries for my 700. I wonder if they will fit the 800? Please give me your opinoins. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Dont hold your breath on the batteries for the 700 working on the 800 they are probably going to be too thick or the connector points will be different. |
