In order to preseve battery power, I manually disable the phones internet connection by unchecking "Allow connection to the Internet" in this manner:

1. Menu (soft key)
2. Preferences
3. Phone Settings
4. Services
5. Data Settings
6. Allow connection to the Internet (unchecked)
7. OK
8. OK

After I have allowed a connection to the internet through Net Guard, these are the 8 steps I take to end an internet connection. This is tedious, but it works to conserve power.

Futhermore, at times I am constantly being queried by Net Guard "Do you want to connect to the Internet?" when any application requires an internet connection. This query notification has priority over all other processes. It interrupts all other applications and is a major nuisance.

Why does this query notification continue when I have disallowed any internet connection. I do not need any further notifications once the initial choice has been made. This continuous issue is 12 months old.

Do you have any programs running that require an internet connection? How about email? How often to you have your phone set to download email?

Thanks for the reply. The email client program is definitely set to manual internet connection. I fault the Net Guard program for allowing any program to poll the internet when the user does not want a connection, especially in the interest of power conservation.
