treo 755p vs Centro - Treo Forum

My wife just upgraded to the Centro and she does not like it. She states that it is too small and slippery. Screen is to small and keyboard is to small. She uses a palm at work for contacts and appointments and she wants to stay with the Palm OS.

1. Its hard to tell but does the 755p have a larger keyboard compared to the Centro?

2. Does the 755p have a larger screen vs the Centro?

3. If I go to the Verizon store will the treo 700wx be the same as far as the physical design as the 755p?

I would like to compare the two next to each other. My wife and I had PocketPC's and tried the windows os. We do not want to use it. Palm is her favorite.

1) Yes, the KB is much bigger than the Centro. What device did she have before?

2) Yes, the Screen is larger than the Centro.

3) Yes and No. It'll be as far as the screen and KB but the 700wx has an antenna and the 755P doesn't. The 755P is slighlty thinner than the 700wx.

PocketPC's are thicker when compared to the 700wx. My sis in law has a 700wx and she loves it. But that'll be up to you to test is out to see what it is that you want.

I know that Ebay has some 755P for bidding. That could be a try. I have the 755P and I love it! I don't want to give it up for nothing.....except NOVA if it ever comes out!!

My wife hand a standard samsung cell phone but she is using a Palm TX pda and she wants to consolidate. We had pocketPCs in the past but she does not like the OS.
I went to the verizon store and they had no 700wx or any treos for comparison. The sales guy did find new 700 and 755p in the wharehouse brand new.
I did stop at a Office Depot and they had the att treo 750. I imagine it must be the same as the 755p as far as the physical case and layout. Compared side by side to the centro it is much bigger.

Would you say that the att 750 and the verizon 755p are the same physical box

pretty close if not the same. The 750 is WM5 or 6 and the 755 is cdma palm os.

Like jfa02 said, the externals are pretty similar but not the same. The internals are totally opposite. Winmob for one and Palm OS for the other.
