Can I use any 600 accessories for the 755p? - Treo Forum

Hey folks,

First post here.

I just purchased a 755p through Sprint, and hopefully it'll arrive next week. I've been a Palm user for a loooonng time, and have had a Treo 600 for two years.

Will I be able to use any of my accessories from the 600 for the new 755p?

What I have:

- wireless keyboard
- adaptor jack for headphone
- bluetooth headset
- charger
- USB sync cable

Other than the charger and the USB sync cable which won't fit the 755p, the remaining accessories should work. You can get a retractable USB sync/charge cable.

OK, thanks! I'll probably be at least getting a second charger then.... good to keep in the laptop bag.

Depending on the extent of your mobility needs, if you're carrying a laptop and are on the road often, I've found this combo to be very effect in keeping me charged and synced. The Mobi DuoCharger for S&C cables with a Retractable S&C cable allows me to charge and sync with my laptop, charge in the car and/or the hotel room. Plus the combo is smaller that my laptop power supply.

Hey folks,

I just went ahead and tried an old Treo 600 charger on the new 755p. It fits and it looks like it's working just fine.

Should I be more paranoid and take it out? Or do you think I should be OK to just go ahead and use this old charger on the 755p?

Should be fine... it's a regulated charger in that it will only put out what the phone uses.

If you worried look at the power output of the two chargers and post it here - it should be on the label..

My 700p charger for the Palm Cradle puts out 5.2V @ up to 1 amp.
