Help me watch the NCAA Tournament on my phone!! - Treo Forum

hey guys and gals...I will be at work when the opening games start on Friday of this week. I need to be able to watch the games on my phone via NCAA.com. I already have made all of the proper loggin information at ncaa.com and gotten the VIP pass to do so. I can access everything from my home pc normally. What do i need to get for my phone to watch these games LIVE..media players, plug-ins, etc...I have the Palm Treo 755P through NTelos network, so I dont have the sprint TV or V Cast. Will Kinoma do these things? Thanks in advance.

Kinoma is the best player out there, but I'm not sure it will be able to help play the embedded files from most news sites or ncaa.com.

While on the subject of streaming TV, Hulu recently came out of private invitation only beta. Although you can't watch it on a Palm device (that I know of) its the best out there using a browers. Let me know if there is something better ... cause I haven't seen it.

Yes you are right

...The Canes play friday which is what im interested in...well I found a patch for the Kinoma but now I cant get my HotSync to work...when i hook the usb cable up and press the hotsync button, nothing happens...i get the hotsync screen on my phone but all it says is the last hotsync time and date and then at the bottom of the page it gives me a log and help icon...any suggestions?

ok got the hotsync to work..now i just need to figure out how to download kinoma and orb

ok i downloaded orb on my home PC, and i now have kinoma on my treo..how do i use these things? ha

When I was wanting to watch my Cashmere Mafia episodes on my Treo (What? It's a good show!!! lol), my friend Jig told me:

There's also Slingbox, but this is a far more cost effective method.

Not sure how much you've looked through the website, but it's very user friendly and easy to follow. Here are the live tv setup instructions...in case you haven't gotten that far, which I'm guessing you haven't.

I just wanted say that this is such a helpful thread. I need to watch the tourney, since I'm in a few pools, but my employer won't let me watch them. All the advice will help me beat the MAN.

On the slingbox thing...

I have the original slingbox + palmos slingplayer + 700p sat on a old cable tuner Comcast forgot about in the garage that still gets the same line up as my other two.

Have to say Slingbox is great; if hava is even better then get that instead. It's probably the best $129 on TV stuff since TIVO.

The nice thing with hava is multi device connection (slingbox only allow one per box). Obviously they can't all be watching different shows...
