![]() | Bluetooth headset for 755p that actually works? I recently picked up my first Treo... a 755p on Sprint. I've been researching bluetooth headsets. It seems there are some really nice ones out there. Through fairly extensive forum searches and online reviews, I've first narrowed my search to the Aliph Jawbone and Plantronics Voyager 520. They both seem at the head of the pack But, I've been reading about connection problems with these headsets paired with the 755p. Another thought is the Palm Wireless Headset Series 3. A review or two has said it's compatible, but Palm's own website doesn't list compatibility with the 755p. So, what headsets, with excellent sound quality, noise reduction, wind suppression, etc work well with the 755p? Thanks for your input! |

![]() | I've only had the 755p fir 2 weeks, but I've been using the cardo scala700lx and have had no complaints. People seem to hear me well and vice versa. I only use bluetooth for the phone, I've never used it to transfer data, so I can't speak to that part of it. |

![]() | I started out with a Motorola H710 (two, in fact), and the range was so poor that I almost had to hold the phone to avoid static. I am now using the Plantronics Discovery 665, and it seems to work pretty well--not as well as I would like, but it gets the job done. |

![]() ![]() | I've only got a 700p but thats been pretty poor (compared to regular phones) with BT headsets - range is limited, some static, occasional disconnects requiring a reset I've had it all. The jawbone will win hands down with call quality but I found it annoying to turn on and off - so much so it's often out of batts when i try to use it because I thought I had it off. I stick with a trusty H700 because it's ultra simple to turn on/off and has sensible vol up and down buttons and a reasonable battery life. It's also cheaper. It has to be said though, the Jawbone quality is up there with the best both in terms of what you hear and what the other end hears. ~ Steph

![]() | I also just got a Treo 755P and started out with the Plantronics Voyager 510, but it kept disconnecting and the sound quality was poor. I then got the Jabra 8040, but it did not work well at all. It was hard to pair and my phone started soft reseting, plus people could not hear me very well. I just returned it and got the Jabra JX10 series II, and so far the sound it much better on my end and on the other and it is on the list of compatible bluetooth headsets. People said they could hear me much better. I will post back in a few days to give the final verdict. |

![]() | I've had my 755p since mid January and I use my Moto HS700 with it and am pleased. I've yet to have anyone complain about call quality, nor do I have any complaints about not hearing others well. All in all, I give it a thumbs up. |

![]() ![]() | After trying two others (the Palm Wireless Headset and a Cardo Scala) I'm now using the Motorola H700 with decent results and sound quality. Like comiken205, (in another thread) I think the delayed BT connect is related to a Treo power save feature (that they thought would help). However, I find I don't have nearly the connection delay since installing Power Hero. One of its features lets you set and "on & off" schedule for things like keyboard lights, network, BT. In PH, I have BT set to come on at 7am and turn off at 7pm. I guess maybe because PH keeps BT "always on" during those hours, it overrides Treo's power saving? I don't know, but I don't have nearly the connection issues now. |

![]() | Wow… I am surprised that people on this forum are not raving about the Jawbone by Aliph. I have been using it for about a year and couldn't be happier. Since I started with a Treo 650 3-4 years ago I have been through 3 Motorola, 2 Plantronics and 1 Jabra bluetooth head set. The Jabra JX10 was my favorite until the Jawbone came along. The Jawbone is a bit larger than I like, but the connection time and sound quality on both ends cannot be matched. |

![]() | Although I suspect older members here have tired of my comments about the Jawbone ... I'll include the link and mp3 samples again anyway. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My research into the subject found that the jawbone was the best. However, I have heard that a number of Treo owners were having trouble pairing or keeping their devices paired with the Jawbone. Have you had that problem, Rich? Anyway, I finally decided on a speakerphone, as the time I most need a headset is when I'm driving. So I bought the Jabra SP5050, which I love. Loved it so much, I bought one for my then, fiancee, who decided she didn't want to even try it. So, it is for sale in the marketplace....LOL. |
