![]() | Back Button on the Treo 755 Hi, New poster here, so sorry if this has been answered before. Is there a 'back' button on the Treo 755? Often, I going through a long process of steps to get to something I need, then the phone rings, or I get a text message, and I lose the screen I was on. I then have to start over and go through the long process again, only to have the phone ring again, etc. If there is a back button on the phone, or a way to get back to the provious screen, that would be a great help. Thanks. |

![]() | I have a back button. I use Switch5 to make my "phone" hard button a back button and use Butler to make my Green button as my "phone" button."Here's the link, if you're interested. There's also PhoneSwitch, which is free just like Switch5...this nifty little app will automatically return you to the app you were in prior to your phone ringing. Here's a link to it, if you're interested. Both are AWESOME! |

![]() | And there is also the little-known trick of pressing and holding your "home" button, which will bring up a small pop-up of your most recently used apps. This is actually a little better than a back button (because you have access to more than just the very last app), and it's already there without additional software. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There is no real back button for switching from app to app. Ohappydaye's suggestion is a good one. You can also hold down the Home button a little longer then normal and it will bring up the last few apps you have used. From there you can just click on whatever app you want to go to. I use Butler's one button key launcher for my more commonly used apps. That is actually quicker then holding down the Home button. |

![]() ![]() | If you happen to have Phone Technician on your Treo (which does a number of useful utilities), one of the features is "Stay Put" which will allow the app your working in to not close and return there if you're interrupted by an incoming call. You can download a fuly functional trial I believe. |

![]() | Yes, you guys are correct about the long press of the home button showing the most recently used apps (last 8, IIRC). I find Switch5 more helpful in that it's only one step, vs the 2 in holding down the home button and then tapping the app in the list. Every step counts sometimes...yet you're absolutely right, the long press does serve the purpose. |

![]() | Hi, Butler lets you set one of the volume buttons on the side to take you back to your last application as well. Never tried it during a call, so I'm not sure how it works in that case, but in general use, it works well. |
