![]() | newbie-still learning-missed calls log, trigger dial finger? Hi, I've been a palm user for years, but have always had std cell phone. Recently moved to treo 755p/verizon and am getting the feel of it. Two questions: 1) is there a way to check missed calls (i.e. been away from the phone and missed 5 calls-is there a way to see them when you return to the phone). 2)My biggest problem is I 'accidentally' dial people when going thru my contacts by highlighting the phone number. Is there any way to have the palm confirm that you want to dial if you highlight a phone number in the contacts field when the phone is on? (or avoid an immediate dial) Thanks in advance! |

![]() ![]() | Welcome to the forum tmord1! First the missed calls: under the "Call Log" use the drop down in the upper right corner to choose "Missed Calls" category & the call log list will then change to those you've missed. You might also consider installing a program called Butler that allows you to set your LED light to light solid or flash a certain color to alert you that you have a reminder (missed call, appt, etc) even when the screen has powerd off. As far as accidental dialing, I don't know of any setting that will allow you to 'confirm' the dial. Someone else may know of a solution, but I've just learned to be very careful while scrolling with the up and down keys and not hit the center 'enter' button. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Welcome to Treonauts, tmord1! I would recommend using a freeware contacts program such as Treobble, 2Cool4U, or Touchbook. They all allow you to scroll through your contacts without fear of accidently touching the phone number. If you want to make a call, then you click on the contact and click on the number. |

Really, it's just a matter of conditioning. Now I've forced myself to remember that I always have to move the cursor up to the name and then tap it. It was aggravating, but now I don't make the mistake anymore. MetaView's 2Cool4U is a really cool looking app. I have a few of Henk's apps and he's a great developer. I've been following the development of this app for a little while now and I'm thinking of installing it. I've been using Takephone as my replacement phone app and am hoping that these two play nice together. ![]() | |

![]() | Thanks everybody. I'm working on the 'conditioning' part like Ohappydaye suggested. I looked at 2cool4u and it sounds good, but I'm holding off on adding it until I become more aquainted with the Treo. It's great to have a place to help you sort through these things. |
