![]() | Hot Sync Issues hi, me and my wife both have treos, and only have one computer. problem is that when we hotsync, we get each others contacts but not each others memos or calendar items. how can we fix it so that we don't get each others contacts as well? we have ms outlook at home and it seems like the contacts are storing there too. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I sync both my T/X and my 755p to my desktop and have never had this problem (while some of my contacts are the same on them, some aren't). You don't say what kind of Treo you own, so I'm going to assume its a Palm OS phone. I'm also assuming you are both using different user IDs, right? Make sure your Palm Desktop has separate user IDs for both of you and then do a backup to your SD card (assuming you own one). Then, the only thing I can think of to recommend, is that each of you go through your respective phones and ensure you only have the contacts on it that you each want. Then go into the Hotsync icon on your desktop and hit applications, then hit configure and set contacts to "handheld over-rides desktop." That should clear out any intermeshing of the contact lists. You won't know whether everything is working right until you hit hotsync a second time. If it messes up again, you can do a hard reset and then restore from the backup copy you made. Hopefully someone else here has a better idea. Best wishes! Stu |

![]() | Yes we both have the 755P for sprint. I will try your suggestions, although I dont know how to back up my contacts to my memory card. How would I do that? That would be so much easier! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There are various backup programs like BackupMan or NVBackup that will allow you to backup your info to a card.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, NVBackup is a good solid backup program, and its freeware. It is also very user friendly. Set it up to schedule daily backups and keep multiple sets. That is good preventive maintenance in case you have any other issues like this one. |
