Verizon 755p delay causing Palm to loose money?? - Treo Forum

Engadget has an interesting piece on the delay of the Verizon 755p and it's impact on Palm's revenues. I was wondering what people thought of this. The second link is the article on Palm's revenues that the Engadget article references. There is a statement in it about Palm's "product shift to the Centro device" - I wonder if this means Verizon will abandon the 755p in favor of the Centro? Regardless, I may never get to upgrade my 650 (don't see a point on going to the 700p) if things continue as they have been.

I just ordered my T755P today thru Verizon Wireless for $249.99 after rebate and new every two credit. It will be in my hands tomorrow,..free fed ex!
As Engaget had posted late last week, the 755P was shown on Verizon's website early Monday morning.
Interestingly enough, I called 3 seperate Verizon Wireless stores in my area (Southern New Jersey ) and none of them had ANY clue of this phones release!

I hope I like this phone. I've waited SO darned long with my 650!!!

well the drop in revenue was probaly due to the delays with the 755P for VZN and also the long delays with the release of the wm6 update for the cingularly ATT 750. Interesting that the rumor now is three new Palm devices within the next few months including one with some flavor of wifi. Maybe Palm has woke up and smelled the coffee or something and chomped down on the bit.
