Contacts not transferring over to Palm Desktop..arg..

I just reformatted and install xp pro again because I was having issues with work software..

Got that resolved but now my damn treo isn't syncing up.

All I truely care about is the contacts/calender events.

I push the hotsync button everything appears fine and says it syncs. My pictures, video's..etc all on the palm desktop.

I click on Contacts and it says There are no items to show in this view.

I go to the custom conduit. It's currently set up for Contacts: Synchronize the files.

Same with Calender.

I change it to Device overides computer and when I click on make this default I get this msg:

File Link Categories will not be updated for this hotsync option.

So now I am ticked becuase I never had this problem before and especially on a fresh os install should not be having this problem.

Using the software that came on the disc via hotsync/palm desktop 4.2

let me just clarify something. hotsync succesfully finished and no errors found in the log however contacts and calendar are not found in the palm desktop?

Could it be that the contacts and such are being put into the Outlook program?

I'd say bigred got the right idea. If your PC has Outlook installed, the HotSync could be syncing with Outlook. Check the conduits for Outlook items. You might have to reinstall the Palm Desktop software and select Palm Desktop instead of Outlook for the sync.

if there is no problem then there are only reasons why:
1. you are synching with a different username
2. the application that manages your PIM's can be outlook or Palm desktop, check either of the 2.
