755p Hard Reset w/Bluetooth?

Hey, anyone had problems with Bluetooth and the Treo 755p (Sprint) resetting? I bought a 2008 Jeep Liberty, which has a "UConnect" system where the Treo connects via Bluetooth to the nav system, and lets me use hands free while driving and using the Treo as the phone. Well, over the past two days, on two occassions, disconnecting from the UConnect (when I take the key out) causes the Treo to go nutty. The first time, it did a hard reset and when I brought it back up all my data was gone. Not a huge thing, as it's all in Outlook and I synched it back--but all my settings and additional software was gone. The second time, it just kept resetting through a loop, where I'd see the "Access Powered" screen over and over--finally I did a hard reset to get it back. It's nuts! It's always worked just fine with my Bluetooth headset--any thoughts?

well when I experience problems with my computers be they pocket pc smartphone laptop desktop the first thing that comes to mind is what my computer fixit guy would tell me "thats wierd!" My second thopught is usually computers have a mind of their own and its schizophrenic! That out of the way Occasionally the silica and wire have a hiccup and something causes the device distress and it goes haywire. If its fine now its an annoyance and it will probably happen again at some point you just never know when.

755p Hard Reset w/Bluetooth?

YES YES YES, I am having a similar problem with my Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset. I went through no less than 12 headsets with my Treo 650 trying to find a good one and the H700 was the best of the bunch. It really sucked the battery life out of my 650 though and was looking forward to using it with my new Treo 755p.

I thought that maybe the phone was just quirky and would have to live with the soft resets and then stopped using the headset for awhile (about a month). No phantom resets. Palm and Sprint both say there is nothing wrong.

After that month of using a wired headset (how '90s!) I thought I'd try the H700 again and 'viola' it started to soft reset again. Palms answer is/was to do a hard reset and rename my folder so it doesn't install the old programs to see if that fixes it. I am about to do that now as I'm now experiencing some network issues too.

I'll try to keep looking at this to see if anyone else replies... I thought I was the only one out there having problems. Must be too new for much feedback yet.

Sorry to go off on a tangent a bit, but I have the Moto H700 and the 755p and I have absolutely no problems of this sort between the two, nor with it draining my battery . I'm quite surprised to hear of such. I can't explain the differences we're experiencing.

I too use the H700 with the 755p with no reset or battery problems. That being said, you might check out Power Hero. It's a great app (a must-have in my book) for scheduling things like Bluetooth, Network, keyboad lights on & off at varying times to save battery life during times when you may not need them on and wasting battery life.

Ditto that! I second the Power Hero recommendation!

Thanks all...it appears to have resolved itself with the 1.07 update. No resets in weeks.
