![]() | A Helpful Tip....I think. What's up Tnauts?I was just thinking about something while I was messing around on the internet(on my 755p).Ive noticed that there is a little bit of lag when you exit the Blazer browser by the Home key.So I checked out my settings and noticed that the"Empty cache on exit" option was highlighted. So I just turned that option off.And emptied the cache myself. When I pressed the Home key,the apps. screen almost popped up instantly. So,I opened the browser again.Did some lurching around, and was going to exit. But first stopped by the preferences.Emptied my cache, and bam!The apps. screen popped right up again. So,I recommend to turn the "Empty cache on exit" option off.And just manually do it yourself. You don't have to do it everytime you exit.Only when you know you looked at websites that fill it up quickly(IGN.com-1.3mb just to load the page)It makes the lag when you exit almost completely disappear. And my 755p would sometimes lock up when the option was on.I guess it was getting hung-up trying to exit and empty the cache. So,unless the lag doesn't really bother you.Turn that option off,and just empty it periodically(or when a website fills it quickly). With alittle effort you can make your Treo experience go alittle smoother. And I haven't had a reset or freeze up since I've turned that option off(I'm gonna regret writing that.lol)Now this may totally be something everybody knows(Ive only had my Treo 4 days). But if you didnt, now you do.Later Tnauts. |

![]() | Unbelievable difference!! That lag was probably the 2nd most dreaded issue with my phone. I still have a lag but it is less than 1/2 the time it was before. I will watch my resets now and hope they lessen. I think me resets are due to having TomTom Navigator & Quicken for the 650 loaded on my 755P, but I'll live with that. Thanks dudrsnacks! |
