755p internet settings?

What's up everbody?Ok,this is my very first post.So be gentle.lol.Well,I'm wondering if you can adjust the 755ps' internet security settings.Because some websites that I look at on my Treo have this "Security Error" messege that keeps popping up.I looked at the options on the device but couldn't find it.I tried to search this site for the answer but had no luck.If someone did already post about this topic could you direct me there?I've only had my 755p for 2 days and I'm just trying to get it set up and ready for abuse!I love new toys.lol.I came from a BB 8700c.And the difference is huge.It puts my 8700c to shame in terms of sheer performance.I am hooked. And I'm glad that I found a forum that I like. There are some others that I wasn't to impressed with.Sorry again if someone already answered this question. And thank you in advance.

Hey dudrsnacks, and welcome to Treonauts! Don't feel shy about asking questions! If you've used the search funtion already you should be fine, and most will only gently remind you if you havn't.

What type of websites are you trying to go to that are giving you this error? Is it a pop-up on the Treo, or an error message that could be linked to whatever page your trying to view. There is a possibilty that the pages you are trying to view may not like your mobile browser.

Well....

Its good to see that people respond fast on this forum.Thank you and Its good to be here.Well, whenever I tried to pull up pinstack.com or even treocentral I got that messege. It basically says that the page I'm trying to view is not secure. And I have to either choose yes or no to continue to the page. The thing is,I have to press yes about 5 to 6 times in a row because it keeps popping up.Thats why I'm curious if you could adjust the internet security settings. If it only popped up once it wouldn't be a big deal. But 5 times in a row can work your nerves. So any suggestions?

That happens to me on certain websites. Something to do with the web certificates or something. Have you tried to see if they have a mobile site? For example Pinstack.com - Where Blackberry Professionals Connect! or Pinstack.com - Where Blackberry Professionals Connect! or http://pinstack.com/wap Something to that effect. Normally if the website is not formatted to be viewed on mobile is when I get that error.

I isn't no expert, but that is just what I have learned through through experience.

Oh...that makes sense.

Ah ok,that actually makes sense. It doesn't happen on all websites. But now that I think about it most redirect you to the mobile site.Thank you for the info comiken205.Now I'm not gonna keep freaking out, thinking something is wrong with my Treo.lol.So is there a way to adjust the firewall and permission settings?Or is this just something that you just have to deal with?Either way my Treo still rocks harder than my BB 8700c.lol.At least so far.have been having some resets. But nothing to major. At least not bad enough to bring it back yet.lol.And treonauts is the best Treo forum.Period!Just thought that I'd add that. And thanks to everyone that posted on here.

Glad you enjoy the site so much!

As far as I can tell, there is no way to adjust the settings for site certificates. If you can find a mobile version of the site, that may just be the way to go. You could always try another browser as well. Opera Mini is free, and is a pleasure to use.

Opera huh?

Yeah I had the opera browser running on my BB 8700.Because the default browser just isn't very good.Where would I download it?Do you have a link that I could use?Or should I just go to opera.com?
