755p wont sync - Treo Forum

i dont know if its possible but instead of adding each individual contact in my phone i did it on palm desktop because it would be much faster...i went to sync and the sync said succesful but none of my contacts i put on the palm desktop went to my phone how can i do this? and i notice quick install doesn't work with vista either anyway around that?

Vista is not very friendly with Palm software at this time. Go to this link and read some work arounds until Palm provides Vista Support.

Palm - Handheld Computing Solutions)

While your there set up an account with Palm. They have much more information than you can get from Sprint.

alright cool thanks i dont know what the deal is i even did a soft reset..so if i enter my contacts on my computer and then sync with my phone it should copy them off my computer onto the phone right?

it doens't seem like anything is syncing at all...i dont see any changes or anything

Make sure you have your conduits set to sync with the Palm Desktop, and not Outlook.

how do i do that? and is it possible to create my own ringtones like i have an mp3 editor so can just cut a part of a song i like to like 15-20 seconds which is about 4 rings but how do i make it a ringtone on my phone? and 3rd cant use qucik intall with vista this sucks

If you have it set to sync with the Palm Desktop, you should just be able to perform a hotsync to get all of your PIM information onto your Treo.

To answer your other questions: MiniTones is a great free utility to create and edit MP3 ringtones right on your device. Some have stated that they have had issues with it causing some crashes on a 755p, so try at your own risk. There are also several other pay programs that will allow you to use MP3 ringtones. Do a search at the store for more details on that.

As far as the Vista thing goes, I feel your pain. Try setting the Quick Install program to run as it would on XP. Also, remember that you can use an SD card or email to send the programs you'd like to add to your Treo as well. I find this works a lot quicker personally.

alright well i just wound up entering them all individually into my phone...i got minitones and i emailed it to myself but when i go on the web on my phone there no option to download the attachment..i have gmail..

1. where do i look up how much free space i have?
2. how do i disconnect from the internet?
3. i can seem to download any attachements from gmail how do i?
